The EuroMillions is ringing in the changes!

With them come bigger jackpots, and more of them.

With our unique government licensed system of matching our own government approved lottery draws to major international lottery draws, these improvements could be a game changer.

Read on to find out how.

Bigger jackpot cap

Before the changes the maximum jackpot cap was set at €190 million (AUD$300 million). Nothing to be sneezed at, for sure!

But it pales in comparison to what's coming. The cap has been upgraded, and as of right now, it's €200 million (AUD$320 million). An extra AUD$20 million is a pretty big deal, but when it comes in international lotteries it doesn't seem that significant, right?

Well what if I were to tell you that it will be increased gradually until it reaches €250 million (AUD$400 million)? That's a whole AUD$100 million more on top of the already impressive old jackpot cap. Now we're talking!

Each time the cap is reached and then won, the cap will be extended by another €10 million (AUD$15 million). This will continue until it peaks at €250 million (AUD$400 million) which will at that point become the new permanent cap.

When this jackpot is won, it will easily eclipse the SuperEnalotto as having the largest European lottery win of all time! This currently stands at AUD$330 million.

EuroMillions European Millions changes

More money, without the wait

This mammoth increase of the maximum prize is only part of story. The administrators of the EuroMillions lottery have predicted that due to the enhancements, jackpots will climb much faster than they have done in the past.

They anticipate that instead of taking approximately 10 draws without a winner for jackpots to reach €100 million (AUD$155 million), it will instead come about in 7 to 8 draws.

This means that you won't have to wait as long to have access to the bigger prizes.

We should also mention that the minimum first prize of AUD$25 million will remain in place. We don't know anyone who wouldn't be over the moon with AUD$25 million!

Remember though; from now on the jackpot will climb much faster with each draw that it's not won, reaching the giddy heights of AUD$100 million and beyond faster than ever.

More Superdraws. Amazing!

You want more?

Until now, there has been an average of two superdraws each year.

Well now you can look forward to seeing them more often, with it looking likely that an average of three per year will be offered.

Most will have jackpots of around AUD$210 million.

Superdraws have proven very popular with our customers and we can see why.

Price freeze! More money, for the same money

And the best part? The ticket price isn't going anywhere. You won't need to spend more for the chance to win more.

On top of this, your chances of taking home a win are staying exactly the same. Your odds of winning aren't affected, and the format of the game remains the same. You'll still need to select 5 main numbers from 1 to 50 and 2 'lucky stars' numbers from 1 to 12.

There are still the same 13 tiers of prizes to win from, so even if you don't take out the top prize you can still claim some significant wins.

The EuroMillions draws schedule hasn't changed. Draws still take place each Wednesday and Saturday AEST (Tuesday and Friday in Europe).

The lower prize levels have been updated to contribute more to the jackpots, making these astounding prizes possible.

The EuroMillions changes will be in effect for all draws that take place after February 1, 2020.

Why limit yourself to winning from only one Euro lottery?

Our Euro combo lets you play to win from both the EuroMillions and the Eurojackpot. Access to these popular lotteries is usually only available to residents of the European countries that sell them.

You can win the exact same value prizes seen in EuroMillions and Eurojackpot lottery draws by buying tickets in our Australian government licensed European Millions and European Jackpot lotteries.

When you buy either of these tickets, we buy a matching Eurojackpot or EuroMillions ticket in a Eurojackpot or EuroMillions draw. For any winnings less than AUD$10,000 from these tickets, we will pay the exact same value of prize money directly into your The Lottery Office account. If you have a winning of AUD$10,000 or more, we'll be in touch to organise getting your winnings to you.

As we run our own matching licensed lotteries, we do not take any commissions or charge any fees on winnings. You are entitled to the entire winning.

Is it safe to play?

At The Lottery Office, we take data protection very seriously.

We securely store and encrypt all details of your data. This includes personal information and any data about purchases you've made with us.

All of our winners have their anonymity guaranteed. You won't have to hide out alone in your massive mansion if you're a winner with us!

This qualified them for an entry on the list of the 1,000 richest people in the UK, becoming wealthier than superstars Sir Tom Jones, Adele and Ed Sheeran. Incredible!

This record prize was won before the latest EuroMillions changes. It's only a matter of time before someone takes out a new and larger record jackpot. Perhaps it could be you?
